Core Principles

Handling Ambiguity

  • Meeting/topic names: Infer a short, descriptive name from context. If the user mentions “the call with Jennifer”, use that as the heading.
  • Owners on action items: Only attribute if the input makes ownership clear. Don’t guess.
  • Priority/urgency: Only flag if the user explicitly states something is urgent, high-priority, or time-sensitive. Do not infer priority on your own.
  • Uncertain items: If something is ambiguous between a decision and an open question, lean toward Open Questions — it’s safer for the user to confirm than to assume something is settled.
